Mew Mews clothing is the fashion forward brand you can’t have missed on Instagram if you’re remotely interested in women’s fashion so time for an honest and in depth review. Whether you’ve been served an ad or seen their super cute rainbow mirror dress on Chrishell Stause. As soon as I see a cute pink dress I’m going to click on it. Mew Mews is known for their stunning, sexy, fashion forward styles. Don’t mistake me, when I say a lot of their styles are inspired by other designers. They’re NOT fakes but luxe for less fashion. What put me off to begin with and made me pause before hitting the buy button was Mew Mews no returns policy. It’s something we are so used to. So, is that a deal breaker? I had these Mew Mews dresses and bags delivered to UK, to unbox, try on and review. Along with some tips for shopping on MewMews and the best chance of not having to deal with returns.

Who and What is Mew Mews
Mew Mews is a pretty new womens fashion brand. It was founded in late 2021 by a group of women who wanted to create clothes that looked great and made you feel great too. They say their products are all hand made and high quality, so we’ll see!
One of the things you might not know about Mew Mews clothing is that they use eco-friendly materials and production methods wherever possible. They’re also constantly seeking out new ways to reduce their environmental impact. It’s not something that’s a deal breaker to me when choosing brands but is definitely a bonus.

Mew Mews Dress Review: Inara Strapless Mesh Cutout Mini Dress In Blush
This mini dress comes S, M and L. I was worried the small would be too big but because it’s a blend of high stretch mesh and bandage fabric (95% Polyester, 5% Spandex) it actually fit perfectly and doesn’t fall down on me. Like most of their mini dresses, it is pretty short. So if you’re tall it might be too short. For me, at 5’2″ it’s perfect. This strapless dress also comes with the flower choker and 3 floral broaches which you can take off to wash. One of the things I really appreciated is that you can wear it straight out of the bag, it doesn’t need ironing.

Mew Mews Dress: Ruby Halterneck Mesh Maxi Dress
I get nervous about ordering maxi dresses as 99% of the time I have to have them hemmed. This Mew Mews maxi dress is one of the few that’s ever been the perfect length. It is sheer, so you’ll need nipple coverups and underwear but sheer is in right now.
The black Ruby Halterneck Mesh Maxi Dress comes in sizes XS-L and is a blend of 95% Cotton and 5% Spandex that you can gently machine wash. Or so they say, I haven’t washed mine yet! If in doubt with this brand, go for stretchy fabrics like this dress for a better chance of getting something that fits. Especially with their no returns policy.
Mew Mews Bag Review: Mattea Satin Crystal Embellished Bucket Bag In Hot Pink
The hot pink satin Mews Mews bag is giving me similar vibes to another designer but at luxe for less pricing. I got it to go with the pink dress and all of the other pinks that my wardrobes full of! The bag drawstring is way easier to use that most and the glam crystal details on the bracelet style top handle and drawstring chain are super pretty and don’t look cheap. It’s also an item where you don’t have to worry about the fit!

Florrie Short Sleeve Bow Mini Dress
I was searching for a statement piece for afternoon tea that still looked classy. So as soon as I saw this hot pink, cap sleeve mini dress with it’s cute bow detail on the back I had to have it. It’s giving me Valentino vibes but with a much lower price tag.
I ordered the small as it only comes in sizes S-XXL so I had it tailored to be more fitted at the waist. It’s the only one of these 4 Mew Mews clothing pieces I had altered. It doesn’t have any stretch so if in doubt size up so that you can have it tailored. The quality and cut is great but it is very short. So if you’re tall it might be too short. It’s also more neon pink than it looks in their photos.

- Needs steaming or ironing before wearing.

Tau Printed Swimwear Two Piece Set
I got this set as I thought it would go with my Dior Dway slides. It wasn’t an exact match but close enough. The sarong and swimsuit are sold together and come in sizes S-XL. They say it “won’t fade after repeated use”. I’m only on wash number 1 but so far so good.
It gives a little more coverage on the butt, is lower cut on the legs than I’d normally go for and is a little long on the torso for me (but I’m all legs and have the shortest torso). The sarong is one size fits most as it just wraps to tie. I still think it’s a super cute and stylish set for the pool or beach and great quality for the price point.
So far, I’ve found that Mew Mews photos have been really true to what I’ve received.
- Stretch Factor: Slight Stretch (long in torso and large cut bum).
- Clean: Hand wash cold (but I hand wash all of my swimwear anyway).
- Material: 100% polyester.
Mew Mews Return Policy
Mew Mews clothing has a strict no return policy except for defective items. So while you may not like it and it is a bit of a turn off, it is very clear. So if you don’t agree with it, don’t shop as they’re not going to budge on it. I know some people are upset with it but it is what it is so go in with both eyes open. Just be smart with how you shop on there.
Because of Mew Mews clothing no returns policy, consider these things when shopping on their site:
- If in doubt size up as it’s easy to tailor things that are too big than too small.
- Look for stretchy fabrics for a better chance of it fitting.
- Read reviews about sizing, color, etc. A lot of them will mention when they’ve found things run short or long, etc.
- Order a couple of pieces to start with to try for size before placing a big order. Then order in bulk going forward as they often incentivize bigger savings and free shipping when you spend more.
