Long sleeve sweater dresses are great for the cooler months and snowy days. For snuggling up on the couch, in front of the fire or for cold nights out with tights and knee-high boots. I tend to prefer lightweight styles that I can layer with than bulkier styles that you can easily overheat in. I want to look cute not sweaty!

I fell in love with the color of this Lovers + Friends blue balloon sleeves, turtleneck sweater dress as it makes a change from black and goes with my white boots. It’s also not too thick and bulky and the flared sleeves make it a bit different. It runs short but otherwise I find it runs true to size.
This white sweater dress is one of the coziest and warmest knit dresses I own and it was under $30. It’s sold out but there’s some great white mini dress alternatives here.
The ribbed, backless, pink long sleeve dress is right on trend this season as pink is a trending color for Winter 2023. It also comes in baby blue if pinks not your thing.

I tend to go for shorter length sweater dresses most of the time for the day as I can wear them bare legs or layer them over tights or leggings. This one runs really short which is great for us petite girls but will be more of a sweater than a dress if you’re over 5’5″. Just add leggings, tights or jeans for more coverage. I love that the neckline’s a little looser for a turtleneck so that your makeup doesn’t get all over it!

In Fall I like to wear short sleeve styles on their own or with a leather jacket. To take the look from day to night a belt or changing from heels to flats goes a long way.

In Winter I tend to wear my long sleeve sweater dresses with flat knee high boots for running around in the day. Then for the evening add tights and switch to longer, high heel knee high boots or thigh high boots which are a big trend for Fall Winter 2023.
I’m a fan of belts as I think they finish a look and create a better silhouette. Especially with tight ribbed styles as they can be hard to pull off and show every bump. A wide belt covers a little bit and distracts or work if I’m trying to create shape with an oversized style.
I love a belted white sweater dress with white boots for a look that’s brighter than black for grey days. You could also try this look with the metallic boots that are trending this season.

How to avoid getting makeup on your turtleneck and roll neck sweaters
I love turtleneck and high neck styles especially for when my tans fading off and the ultra cold weather. As long as I remember to dress before doing my hair and makeup.
A little trick for preventing your foundation and powder from transferring onto your turtle neck is to spray your neck with a little non-sticky hairspray. It works better than setting spray for preventing your turtleneck from wearing more of your makeup than you are!
